1/27/2010 - Friends of Robin Kelly

Yesterday my opponent began airing misleading commercials that not only distort my record and service in the Treasurer’s Office, but also challenges my character.  This ad is called “Integrity,” but shows anything but.  

Every major newspaper in the state has endorsed my candidacy, including The Chicago Sun Times, the paper my opponent uses to justify his attacks.  They state that I “have the experience to excel,” and the “smarts, honesty, and ability to work with others.”

Since becoming Chief of Staff in January of 2007, I have worked each and every day to keep your tax dollars safe.  The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for investing nearly 17 billions tax dollars and I can proudly say that not only have we invested wisely, we have kept your money safe.

I need your help to fight these smears. I cannot do it alone.  Do not let my opponent buy this election with out of state donations.  If you support solutions instead of rhetoric, now is the time to act.
