Information is one of the most powerful tools the Treasurer's Office can provide to Illinois families and individuals. As Treasurer, Robin will continue to expand access to financial literacy programs as a way to empower Illinois families, and help prevent them from making bad financial decisions.

• Convene a Financial Education Task Force
Illinois requires all high school students to take a consumer economics course; however, many schools cannot afford to offer the class. I want to close the gap between the schools that can afford to teach students about personal finance and those that cannot, by convening a task force that will study best practices of financial literacy education.
