From the time she spent counseling workers dealing with financial uncertainty in Peoria during the 1980s to her service in the Illinois state legislature, Robin has worked tirelessly to help build a better economic future for Illinois residents. Currently, as chief of staff to State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, Robin has helped transform the office, introducing new, innovative programs and legislation to promote financial health throughout the state.
As State Treasurer, she will continue to devote time and energy to making the Treasurer’s Office a powerful resource for the people of Illinois—ensuring government transparency and accountability, wisely investing taxpayers’ money, providing resources that empower families to secure their economic future, and safeguarding Illinois’ tax dollars.
Creating and Protecting Illinois Jobs
Robin understands that creating jobs is one of the most effective ways to grow the Illinois economy, provide more resources to the state, and protect Illinois tax dollars. As Treasurer, Robin will continue to promote programs that help bring more job opportunities to Illinois.

Information is one of the most powerful tools the Treasurer's Office can provide to Illinois families and individuals. As Treasurer, Robin will continue to expand access to financial literacy programs as a way to empower Illinois families, and help prevent them from making bad financial decisions.
Higher Education
Having worked her way through college and put her own children through school, Robin is a strong believer in the importance and power of higher education. As Treasurer, she will continue to provide Illinois families with more ways to save for college. Her focus will be on providing programs that are efficient, transparent, and effective.

Throughout her career, Robin has championed the fight to improve efficiency, reform the way government does business, and demand accountability.
